Summer Skin Care Tips
1. Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated. Tired of the same old flavor? Add cucumbers (skinless) for your taste buds.
2. Allow your skin to breathe. Avoid moisturizers with mineral oil and petroleum ingredients. These products clog pores, and do not allow any nourishment to get under the skin. Exfoliate your skin 3 times a week to remove dead skin cells.
3. Protect immune system. Your skin is one of your body's natural defenses. Skin forms an effective barrier to invasion by bacteria, virus, and fungus. Use pure, bacteria fighting antioxidant ingredients: grape seed oil, castor oil, raw butters, tea tree, shea oil, sesame oil, etc. Keep skin clean with vegetable based soap.
4. Sporting the shorts or skirts this summer? Keep those pores clean. Use a bath brush with stiff bristles during each shower/bath.

5. Keep those biting insects at bay with a wholesome repellent.
6. Limit your outdoor time this summer. Especially when the sun is at its highest. Products with raw shea butter, and natural products with Zinc (uv blocker) can protect the skin from the sun. Use Aloe Vera to soothe sunburn.
7. Use citrus butter and products with kukui nut to accelerate melanin, to give you even, bronzy skin tone.
8. Rinse skin immediately after swimming. Replenish your skin by drinking water, showering with wholesome soap, and seal in the moisture with wholesome vegetable and fruit oils.

Scalp Scrubber Anyone?
I was just checking my inbox, and came across an email for a "friend" request on a ning. I went to go check out the person. Noticed that they had a website. Clicked. Then saw this cute little thing. My head started to feel tingling and relaxed just reading about it. Truly exfoliating is my favorite step in body care. Now, my scalp can have this pleasure as well.
